Takoma Park Home Gets Facelift To Prepare for Sale

Imagine this: you're ready to sell your house, but for the past few years, the space has been occupied by a (lovable) pack of college students more interested in pizza and beer than housekeeping! No problem, our awesome agent Lewis Temple and the DKG  design team came to the rescue.

Lewis's recent Takoma Park listing needed a fresh perspective to take it home from dorm-worthy to dreamy. Designer Michelle Cianfrani, first decluttered the house to start with a clean slate. Drab walls were livened up with an on-trend paint palette to provide a fresh backdrop for design-focused details.

The dining room got a touch of sparkle from a romantic light fixture.

In the kitchen, Michelle jazzed things up by choosing unique pendant lights for the island and adding colorful throw pillows to the window seat. The previously dark cabinetry was painted to instantly lighten the room.

Bottom Line:

This home has great bones and an ideal location for today's homebuyer.  DKG came in and added some TLC and smart updates to take the home from high-potential to a pristine, design-conscious showstopper. The result: the happy seller was able to get this home listed in style, all while living out of the country.
